Abstract Munculnya SKKNI menjelaskan bahwa industri broker asuransi memiliki skema bagi pekerja mengenai tugas dan kewajiban yang harus dilakukan dalam upaya memenuhi kebutuhan pekerja untuk menjawab pertumbuhan industri asuransi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui deskripsi pekerjaan lapangan pemasar di PT Nusantara Insurance Broker & Consultant, untuk mengetahui apakah deskripsi pekerjaan pemasar di PT Nusantara Insurance Broker & Consultant ini sesuai dengan SKKNI di bidang asuransi. Untuk menjawab penelitian tersebut, peneliti menganalisis data sekunder dari PT Nusantara Insurance Broker & Consultant dalam bentuk data prosedur operasional standar (SOP), pemasaran pada PT Nusantara Insurance Broker & Consultant dan laporan produksi. Data primer berupa wawancara langsung ke divisi pemasaran PT Nusantara Insurance Broker & Consultant dengan terlebih dahulu menyusun dan menyiapkan pertanyaan ke beberapa indikator. Kesimpulan yang dapat ditarik dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa fungsi dasar SKKNI dapat dikategorikan menjadi 3 yaitu perencanaan, customer service, dan technical service. Jika mengacu pada deskripsi bidang job description marketing PT. NIBC memiliki kategorisasi tugas yang sesuai dengan SKKNI di bidang asuransi. Perbedaan dalam job description di PT. NIBC ada tugas administratif yang dinyatakan secara tegas, sedangkan dalam tugas administratif SKKNI tercantum secara implisit dalam bentuk pembuatan laporan produksi dan kunjungan klien dan Karena sifat usaha yang 100% masih berasal dari sumber bisnis yaitu PT. Bank Jabar Banten (BJB), walaupun kategorinya hanya sesuai dalam uraian tugas ada beberapa deskripsi pekerjaan yang tidak sepenuhnya dijalankan oleh bidang pemasaran yaitu hal-hal yang bersifat strategis, promosi, dan pencarian sumber bisnis baru, yang dilakukan oleh jajaran direksi. Sedangkan bidang pemasaran lebih banyak bertugas menjaga hubungan dengan pelanggan, dan hal-hal yang menjadi pemasaran teknis di PT. NIBC tidak melakukannya tapi dilakukan oleh pihak teknis, hal ini karena bagian pemasaran / teknis, dan klaim masih di bawah 1 divisi di bawah manajer yang sama. Saran perbaikan bagi perusahaan Untuk mengantisipasi pertumbuhan bisnis PT. NIBC ke depan, maka itu adalah deskripsi pekerjaan yang baik seperti strategi, promosi, dan pencarian sumber bisnis baru yang termasuk dalam uraian tugas pemasaran ke perusahaan PT NIBC dapat tumbuh lebih baik dalam hal pelayanan. Serta saran untuk penelitian serupa pada perusahaan yang berbeda adalah penelitian serupa yang dilakukan di pialang asuransi lainnya dengan skala bisnis yang lebih besar sehingga hasil penelitian ini bisa lebih baik dan valid.
