Abstract Pertumbuhan ekonomi yang tinggi ditandai dengan industrialisasi yang meningkat, dimana kesejahteraan karyawan tergantung dari kedudukan dan gaji karyawan. Peningkatan keterampilan maupun keahlian karyawan akan memudahkan seorang karyawan dalam pencapaian untuk menduduki posisi tertentu dalam suatu perusahaan. Pada dasarnya keinginan untuk maju dalam mencapai keadaan yang lebih baik merupakan dasar bagi setiap manusia untuk mencapai kehidupan yang lebih baik dan untuk memperbaiki kualitas kehidupan. Adanya promosi jabatan dan insentif pada suatu perusahaan pada dasarnya digunakan untuk meningkatkan motivasi kerja karyawan dalam mencapai tujuantujuan organisasi. Permasalahan yang timbul adalah apakah terdapat hubungan antara promosi jabatan dan insentif dengan motivasi karyawan di PT. Asuransi Ramayana Tbk ? Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer dari responden sebanyak 75 sampel dari total populasi 262. Analisis dari jawaban angket yang disebarkan pada karyawan teknik PT. Asuransi Ramayana Tbk dilakukan dengan dengan menggunakan program SPSS 2.3 untuk menguji seberapa kuat hubungan variabel promosi jabatan dan insentif dengan motivasi karyawan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara promosi jabatan dan insentif dengan motivasi karyawan secara parsial. Hal tersebut diketahui melalui signifikansi koefisien regresi yang lebih kecil 0.05. Persamaan Y = 4,358 + 0,975 X1 + 0,864 X2. Variabel yang memiliki hubungan paling besar pada dimensi motivasi karyawan adalah promosi jabatan, yang ditunjukkan oleh nilai koefisien regresi sebesar 0.975. sedangkan variabel yang paling kecil hubungannya adalah insentif . Besarnya koefisien determinasi atau R2 sebesar 0.840 atau 84% , angka tersebut mengandung arti bahwa promosi jabatan dan insentif memiliki hubungan dengan dimensi motivasi karyawan sebesar 84%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang menunjukkan adanya kesimpulan bahwa ada indikasi kelemahan, oleh karena itu peneliti memberi masukan , terutama dalam hal, diperlukan adanya pendidikan dan pelatihan secara periodik untuk dapat memotivasi karyawan mendapatkan sertifikasi ahli asuransi, yang merupakan penunjang utama dalam kegiatan promosi jabatan dan pemberian insentif.
