Abstract Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses perpanjangan polis asuransi kesehatan kumpulan dilakukan di Unit Bisnis Syariah PT. Asuransi Bintang Tbk, pada produk Asuransi Kesehatan kumpulan. Dalam proses underwriting asuransi kesehatan tidak dilakukan pada aspek medis calon secara individu namun lebih pada sifat, ukuran dan kestabilan kelompok dengan memperhatikan faktor risiko. Jika kondisi calon tidak sesuai dengan ketentuan kebijakan standar premi yang berlaku, bila calon peserta berdasarkan ketentuan peraturan yang berlaku Pre Existing Condition, pemeriksaan kesehatan lebih lanjut dan tarif premi yang lebih tinggi dibebankan atau permintaan ditolak. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif, yang menggambarkan hasil penelitian dengan cara menganalisa, melakukan klasifikasi dan melakukan penilaian terhadap objek penelitian dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui survei, wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah dalam proses prosedur underwriting yang dilakukan dalam beberapa tahap, yaitu analisis surat permohonan asuransi yang telah diisi oleh peserta, analisis sifat dan kondisi kelompok, dibandingkan dengan klaim masa lalu yang menurut keputusan underwriting kepada diambil Kata kunci: Underwriting, Polis, Akseptasi, Perpanjangan, Klaim rasio, faktor risiko, klaim, risiko dan keputusan underwriting.
