| Abstract | PT. Artha Graha Insurance set the profitability target about 10 % from the total of vehicles product insurance premium for the last three years (2013 to 2015). Products profitability which are expected by the company and management will going well if assumption, projection, and ratio which has been composed are achieved and the management can project and set optimal claim ratio, also maintain and manage costs (marketing, employees, and management costs). Actual data and ratios of last three years (2013 to 2015) production total is 2.53%, it shows profit margin which has been expected by the management is not optimal, therefore this requires simulation of product profitability calculation with some scenarios or combination of claims and costs. To know the optimal claims ratio and the required costs in expected profitability achievement, in this research obtained actual net premium data, net claims, marketing and financial burden cost, investment result, net commission, Increase and decrease in reserves and profits derived from observations, data simulation from underwriting result, last three years (2013 to 2015) financial report , and also ratio analysis from collected data. The results will be compared to the expected company’s target about vehicles insurance. Keywords: product profitability, vehicles insurance, profitability. |
