| Abstract | This research to answer the problem how big influence of premium income and claim expense to underwriting result at PT Asuransi Adira Dinamika in year 2012-2016. The purpose of this study is to obtain empirical evidence about the factors that influence underwriting results as a dependent variable. The independent variables used in this study are premium income and claims expense. The initial hypothesis of this study is the effect on underwriting results. The study found that the net premium of all property insurance products affected underwriting results, while net premiums for marine and motor vehicle insurance products did not affect underwriting results. Simultaneously Premium income and claim expense have an effect on underwriting result in PT Asuransi Adira Dinamika year, contribution given by both variable together equal to 98,7% to result of underwriting of PT Asuransi Adira Dinamika year 2012-2016. For companies, to strengthen underwriting techniques ranging from identifying new businesses, evaluating old business, tightening terms and conditions and increasing underwriting performance in assessing risk so actual loss can be smaller than expected loss Keyword: Premium Expenses, Claim Expense, Underwriting |
