| Abstract | This research is aimed to know about the relation of gross premium towards underwriting result, relation of gross claim towards underwriting result and relation of gross premium and gross claim towards underwriting result, so that this research can be used as an idea to make an underwriting guideline. Method used in this research is quantitative method. Analysis used in this research are Correlation analysis, regression analysis, t-tabel analysis and F test analysis (simultaneously). The research use numbers from annual financial report since 2010-2017. Population in this research are insurance companies. Sample in this research is PT Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero). Based on the correlation test, this research shows that gross premium has low and negative relation towards underwriting result, the other result shows that the gross claim has strong and negative relation towards underwriting result as well. Besides, gross premium and gross claim simultaneously has strong relation towards underwriting result. Keywords gross premium, gross claim and underwriting result. |
