| Abstract | This thesis aims to examine the influence of the age of the vessel in determining the premium rate on the undewriting results ofmarine hull insurance of PT Asuransi Purna Artanugraha. Aspect of this research are year of built of ship (X1), premium rate (X2), and underwriting result (Y). This research is using quantitative method, and the analysis technique is multiple linear regression. The process of data processing is using computer program of Eviews version 8th. The result is significant and negative influence ofthe age of the vessel in determining the premium rate on the undewriting results of marine hull insurance. The negative effect gives the intention that the influence between variables is opposite. Thus, should an insurance company be willing to enhance uderwriting result, they must be disciplince always consider the age of the ship in determining the premium rate.
