| Abstract | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lingkungan kerja dan komunikasi terhadap kinerja underwriter di PT Asuransi Cakrawala Proteksi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah karyawan bagian underwriter di PT Asuransi Cakrawala proteksi dan diambil sebanyak 30 responden. Hasil dan kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan secara parsial (uji t) variabel lingkungan kerja (X1) terhadap kinerja diketahui dari hasil perhitungan t hitung = 4,715 > t tabel = 1,70113 dan sig.= 0,000 < 0.05 sehingga dapat dinyatakan bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima yang berarti terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara pengaruh parsial lingkungan kerja terhadap kinerja underwriter di PT Asuransi Cakrawala Proteksi. Pengujian secara simultan (uji F) tidak terdapat pengaruh parsial komunikasi terhadap kinerja diketahui dari hasil perhitungan (X2) t hitung = 1,087 < t tabel = 1,70113 dan sig.= 0,000 > 0.05 sehingga dapat dinyatakan bahwa H0 diterima dan H1 ditolak yang berarti tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dan antara pengaruh parsial komunikasi terhadap kinerja underwriter di PT Asuransi Cakrawala Proteksi. Hasil analisis dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara uji koefisien determinasi (R square) yang diperoleh adalah R2 = 0,702. Dengan demikian, hal ini menunjukan bahwa sebesar 0,702 atau 70,2% kinerja karyawan dapat dipengaruhi oleh variabel komunikasi dan lingkungan kerja, sedangkan sisanya (1 – 0,702 = 0,2977 atau 29,77%) dipengaruhi oleh faktor faktor lain.
