Abstract Proses kegiatan asuransi tidaklah seperti yang dibayangkan kebanyakan orang. Premi yang masuk ke perusahaan asuransi masih akan dibayarkan kembali ke perusahaan reasuransi sebagai penanggung ulang. Perkembangan bisnis reasuransi di Indonesia semaking besar seiring dengan berkembangnya bisnis asuransi di Indonesia. Keterkaitan antara keduanya sangat erat karena masing-masing dari mereka saling membutuhkan satu sama lain. Salah satu contoh produk asuransi yang banyak berkembang di Indonesia adalah asuransi jiwa kredit. Pada penelitian ini akan dibahas mengenai dampak kelengkapan dokumen terhadap penyelesaian klaim reasuransi jiwa. Hal ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui apa saja dampak-dampak dari kelengkapan dokumen klaim yang mungkin kurang dan keputusan-keputusan apa saja yang dapat diambil. Proses panjang dalam penyelesaian klaim hingga mencapai perusahaan reasuransi ini sangat menarik untuk dibahas agar masyarakat tanggap terhadap pentingnya kelengkapan dokumen Yang menjadi objek penelitian pada karya tulis ini adalah PT Reasuransi Nasional Indonesia sebagai salah satu perusahaan resuransi terbesar di Indonesia. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode in depth interview dengan kepala seksi klaim reasuransi jiwa di divisi reasuransi jiwa serta menggunakan Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Penyelesaian Klaim Divisi Reasuransi Jiwa di PT Reasuransi Nasional Indonesia. Kemudian dari hasil temuan tersebut akan diolah, dianalisis dan diinterpretasikan untuk menjawab pertanyaan-pertanyaan pada karya tulis ini. Berdasarkan hasil analisa dan interpretasi dari data yang diperoleh ditemukan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan antara kelengkapan dokumen klaim terhadap durasi penyelesaian klaim. Selain itu kelengkapan dokumen klaim juga memengaruhi keputusan yang diambil oleh perusahaan reasuransi. Kata Kunci: Dokumen, Klaim, Asuransi Jiwa Kredit dan Durasi Pembayaran Klaim.
