Abstract Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang pengaruh kontribusi, klaim dan hasil investasi terhadap surplus underwriting. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap perusahaan reasuransi unit syariah PT Reasuransi Nasional Indonesia. Sampel yang digunakan adalah laporan keuangan tahunan unit syariah PT Reasuransi Nasional Indonesia tahun 2011-2017. Metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif deskriptif. Uji analisis yang digunakan adalah Regresi linear berganda dengan α = 0,05. Hasil dan kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial variabel kontribusi (X1) memiliki probabilitas sebesar 0,061, hasil ini berada diatas tingkat signifikansi sebesar 5% (0,061> 0,05). Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa kontribusi secara parsial tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap surplus underwriting. variabel klaim memiliki probabilitas sebesar 0,045, hasil ini berada dibawah tingkat signifikansi sebesar 5% (0,045< 0,05). Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa klaim secara parsial klaim memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap surplus underwriting. Variabel hasil investasi memiliki probabilitas sebesar 0,029, hasil ini berada di bawah tingkat signifikansi sebesar 5% (0,029< 0,05). Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa hasil investasi secara parsial memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap surplus underwriting. Pengujian secara simultan (uji statistik F) variabel independen yaitu kontribusi peserta, klaim dan hasil investasi terhadap surplus underwriting pada unit syariah PT Reasuransi Nasional Indonesia. Dapat diketahui nilai dari probabilitas (F-statistik) 0,042 dimana nilai probabilitas ini di bawah tingkat signifikansi sebesar 5% (0,042 ≤ 0,05). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil dari uji F (simultan) menolak H0 dan menerima Ha, yang artinya bahwa variabel kontribusi, klaim dan hasil investasi secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap variabel surplus underwriting. Hasil analisis dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara uji koefisien determinasi (R square) diperoleh nilai sebesar 82,8%, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 17,2% yang dijelaskan oleh variabel lain yang tidak dapat digunakan dalam model penelitian ini. Kata Kunci: kontribusi peserta, klaim dan hasil investasi terhadap surplus underwriting.
