| Abstract | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh hasil underwriting dan hasil investasi terhadap laba rugi usaha. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap perusahaan asuransi umum PT. Bosowa Asuransi periode 20 12-20 18. Metode yang digunakan dalarn penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif deskriptif. Uji analisis data yang digunakan adalah Analisis regresi linear berganda dengan 01 = 0,05. Hasil dan kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa : pengujian signifikansi t secara parsial (uji statistik t) dari hasil underwriting (Xi) tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap laba (rugi usaha (Y). hal ini dibuktikan dcngan nilai signifikasi t sebesar 0,474 ( > 0,05), dan hasil pengujian signifikansi t secara parsial dari hasil investasi (X2) berpengaruh terhadap laba (ru?i) usaha (Y), hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai signifikansi t sebesar 0,040 ( < 0,05). Pengujian secara simultan (uji statistik F) variabe! independen yaitu hasil underwriting clan hasil investasi tidak berpengaruh terhadap variabel dependen yaitu laba (rugi) usaha pada PT. Bosowa Asuransi, hal ini dengan melihat nilai pcrbandingan antara Fhitung dan Ftat,ei. Fhitung sebesar 5,405 yang nilainya lebih kecil clari pada nilai Ftat,ei sebesar 6,59 atau (Fhitung < F,uc1). Hasil anaiisis dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara uji koefisien determinasi (R square) adalah sebesar 0,595 atau 59,5% , yang berarti dapat dikatakan bahwa hasil underwriting dan hasil investasi meiniliki pengaruh tidak cukup banyak terhadap laba (rugi) usaha pada PT Bosowa Asuransi sedangkan sisanya (40,5%) dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti oleh penulis.
