| Abstract | Tesis ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa hasil perbandingan pencadangan klaim dengan 3 (tiga) metode yang berbeda, selanjutnya judul penelitian ini adalah Analisa Perbandingan Pencadangan Klaim Asuransi Properti dengan Menggunakan Metode Chain Ladder, Bornhuetter Ferguson, dan Loss Ratio PT Asuransi Umum XYZ. Metode yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif, alasan menggunakan metode kuantitatif adalah untuk menentukan apakah terdapat perbandingan hasil perhitungan dan hasil perhitungan mana yang paling baik. Teknik pengumpulan data berdasarkan pada data sekunder PT Asuransi Umum XYZ dan studi literatur baik dalam bentuk buku, undang-undang, dokumen, dan sebagainya. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa adanya perbedaan hasil perhitungan menggunakan metode Chain Ladder, Bornhuetter Ferguson, dan Loss Ratio. Namun jika berdasarkan hasil pembuktian rumus aktuaria jika penjumlahan pencadangan klaim loss ratio dikalikan dengan (1 − 1f) dan pencadangan klaim chain ladder dikalikan dengan (1f), maka akan sama dengan pencadangan klaim bornhuetter ferguson. Ini membuktikan hasil pencadangan klaim dengan metode bornhuetter ferguson adalah yang paling baik.
